School Development Plan
School Development Plan
We have identified key areas that we plan to develop this year at St Dennis Primary Academy. Many of these build on new practice introduced last year and we now need to embed these to ensure our children achieve at the very highest standards.
Every term, we review progress towards these objectives. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask a member of the Senior Leadership Team - Mrs Brokenshire, Mrs Nash, Mrs Waters or Miss Stokes.
The key objectives are:
Quality of Education
- To ensure there is a consistent approach to the delivery of pedagogy based on the Trust model with the impact of raising standards.
- To raise standards in writing across the school and ensure that KS2 outcomes are improving and more in line with National Average.
- To raise standards in reading across the school and ensure that KS2 outcomes are improving and more in line with National Average.
- To raise standards in maths across the school and ensure that KS2 outcomes are improving and more in line with National Average.
Behaviour and Attitudes

- To significantly reduce incidents warranting the use of suspension.
- To ensure attendance is improving (including that of children with FSM) so that it is at least in line with national average.
- To ensure that persistent absence and severe absence (including that for children with FSM) is no higher than national average and is decreasing.
- To ensure that the TPAT attendance strategy is consistently implemented to support all children to attend school regularly.
Personal Development
