School Council
Our School Council is a student body which aims to make improvements within school and the wider community. The Council is democratically elected each September by the children and consists of pupils from across all year groups. Meetings take place each week and updates from the School Council are shared on the school newsletter and display board.
Projects from the School Council have included improving lunchtime provision, entering competitions to win prizes for the school and organising whole school fundraising events, such as Children in Need. The School Council is pupil led and the children research, listen to their peers and reflect upon the world around them to decide on their next project.

The school council noticed that the playground needed to be a more inviting place to spend break times. After writing to a local councillor, the children were delighted to receive a grant to purchase new playground equipment. Everyone is delighted with the new toys and the playground is a much more fun place to be!
School Council worked with Aspens Catering to design a special lunch. The council were really excited to set up the hall and get feedback from their peers about their preferred tastes and which foods they would like to try next time. It was a great success and there were so many positive comments about the delicious food!
