Magic Breakfast Club

Free Breakfast

At St Dennis Academy, we have been fortunate enough to secure funding from Family Action to run a Magic Breakfast Club.

Magic Breakfast is a national UK charity that supplies the school with healthy breakfast food so we can offer a free breakfast to every child who wants one.

Please note the food ingredients and allergens list on this page.

You don’t have to book a “Magic Breakfast” in advance. Just bring your child(ren) to the bottom playground  at 8.45am as normal and they can grab a bagel from our bagel station on their way into school.

There is no charge, but any voluntary contributions of 50p to help towards staffing costs would be most welcome.

Magic Breakfast is enthusiastically run by a mixture of school staff and parent volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, please speak with Ms Howard or Mrs Truscott.

No Child too Hungry to Learn

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity working towards the aim of ensuring that no child is too hungry to learn. Magic Breakfast currently works with 440 schools to provide food for 22,000 children across the country.

The good people at Magic Breakfast tell us that research has shown that children who eat a healthy breakfast are more ready to learn and are able to concentrate better during the morning, just as a healthy lunch improves their concentration in the afternoon.
