School Values

OUR ETHOS & VALUES

In our school we want pupils to feel safe, secure, optimistic and aspirational.  They will be challenged, they will experience success, they will laugh, they will be encouraged to ask questions of themselves and others and reflect on the answers.

We are a school where pupils feel good about themselves, where they love to learn, where they take control of their learning and where every member of our community is valued.

Through providing a rich, creative curriculum in a supportive and nurturing environment the school contributes to the development of self worth, enthusiasm for learning and an optimism for the future in all our pupils.  This will enable them to become valuable members of a socially cohesive and culturally rich society.

When our pupils leave us –

  • They will be confident, creative and productive users of new technologies

  • They will be literate, numerate and equipped with the basic skills to fulfil their potential

  • They will have an understanding of, and concern for, the care of the natural environment

  • They will have the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to establish and maintain a healthy lifestyle

This will result in active, informed citizens, ready to take their goals further into their potential life roles as family, community and workforce members.

Our Aims

  • Every child will achieve and feel positive to move forward to the best of their ability

  • Success will be celebrated at every opportunity

  • Every pupil will leave us with a high degree of self confidence, able to make informed decisions and with a commitment to personal excellence
